Bottle from "The Shining" backbar

My girlfriend’s sister and brother-in-law have built out a full replica of the bar from “The Shining” in their basement. Justin has been fanatically chasing the various bottles that show up there in order to get them from his bar. He sent me this picture and asked if I recognized the bottle circled in blue.

I’m wondering if it’s an aquavit or something but I really have no idea. Anybody else have any ideas what it might be?

(Alternatively, it may just be a cheap vodka. The bottle shape isn’t much help, unfortunately.)

It might be one of the many colorways of Romanoff Vodka.

There are at least two other specimens of that bottle on that back bar. There’s one in the upper right corner, and one by the register.

Alas, they’re all obscure and out of focus, but the large white lettering on black on the label around the neck is strong clue.

I was thinking Russian vodka as well.

In the OP’s picture, the mystery bottle is flanked by Bacardi to the left and Courvoisier VS to the right. In my picture, the mystery bottle is obscured by Tio Pepe sherry.

That backbar is a total hodgepodge, obviously not set up by a real bartender. It’s kind of surprising that some of the bottles have speed pours in them.

That’s what I’ve found a bit frustrating in helping him identify various bottles – they’re quite randomly assorted!

These may be of help in identifying bottles

My father in law installed wall covering at the Stanley hotel. For some reason, he wrapped a gift in a swatch (hallway scene?) and I framed it to use for a catering display. I ended up using it last night when I was doing cocktails at an art opening! If I remember correctly, they updated the hotel and Stephen King was tasked with matching something new with the original and that is why he had these samples. I have the new one somewhere and it is slightly different.

You could always try asking Edgar at Old Spirits Co.
