Looking for Resources on Train and Train Station Related Related Bar History

I’m putting together an event themed around bars in and around train stations in NYC. For the end I was going to talk about the 20th Century Limited and I was curious if there were any resources specifically related to bars/bartenders on sleeper trains (or any other type of train service)?

On a related note I have seen various sources that mention Tom Bullock as having worked on a train bar car as a bartender? Does anyone know the primary source of this information and/or what train/company he would have worked for?

There’s mention in the Oxford Companion to the Alexander cocktail being created based on train ads.

The New York Public Library has a menu database online that I believe contains some train car drink menus.

I think this URL may bag you all the railroad menus in the NYPL collection.

This URL should bag you some menus from train stations (“station” being the keyword) or nearby hotels. You’ll get some other stuff in there too.

There may be a few others here under the “terminal” keyword.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve looked in there before, but might scrounge around it again.

Thanks for all the help!

Was thinking about that one as well! Keeping it aside in case I get a chance to talk about Rector’s in the future. Thanks for the help!
