Quick question. Has anyone heard about any recent changes to NY liquor laws? A friend just tried to re-order absinthe from Germany but was turned away this time because the bottle was 72%. They said something about not being able to send anything over 70% to him any more.
It might be an air cargo flammability issue rather than an NY issue. Liquids above 70% alcohol are classified differently; the TSA doesn’t allow them in baggage, and the FAA treats them differently for cargo. I don’t know if that’s a recent change or not.
