The Comic Book History of the Cocktail

I was going to title this post “Will Wondrich’s Never Cease” but then thought better of it.

Our esteemed friend David Wondrich has a new book out which I’ve been reading this week. It’s surprisingly deep and the pacing makes it more than just a dry read. I recommend that you pick up a copy.

Great gift idea for 2025. Chances are, you know a few people who will dig it.

It’s an excellent book and even seasoned veterans of the cocktail history thingy will learn new facts and anecdotes. I certainly did.

Your local bookstore can order it for you. I ordered mine from https://www.thriftbooks.com/

Thanks for posting this! I had learned of Wondrich’s live event in NYC with my friend Michael Ruhlman too late, sorry I missed that, but I am going to order this right now, looks VERY cool, a very new twist, especially for a comic book fan.

I finished it yesterday – very enjoyable! My girlfriend is a new fan of the Ohio cocktail.

I’m saving it for my Portland Cocktail Week travel book (so I’ll start it on Sunday at the airport).

I think it’s obvious that this book is now the de facto introductory text for cocktails.
